Scope and Contents

Collection consists of legal documents relating to the acquisition of land by the City of Dallas.

The release of lien documents in this collection allowed the City of Dallas to purchase several hundred acres of  land located in Denton County.  The collection also contains correspondence and a certified copy of a Texas Republic - era land patent relating to property located in Nacogdoches County, Texas.
