Typescript signed legal contracts.

Collection documents agreements between the Winslett-Eldridge Company and the City of Dallas to construct storm sewers and water mains on various streets in the City of Dallas, Texas. Company founder Joseph B. Winslett, Jr. (1882 - 1956) came to Dallas in 1895 and with Leslie Stemmons and F. A. Eldridge performed construction of the municipal utility systems of many Texas cities. Winslett was the son of J.B. Winslett, City Secretary of the City of Dallas. Collection contains contracts and construction specifications. Note: some construction described in the contracts was actually in alleys adjacent to the named streets.

The documents in this collection are copies placed by the Winslett-Eldridge Company for public inspection in the City Secretary's Office.
